1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using Clippy ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BlueX Software Solutions ("we," "our," or "the Developer").
2. Eligibility
Age Requirements:
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Clippy
- Users under 18 should have parental consent
- We comply with COPPA regulations
Account Requirements:
- You must provide accurate registration information
- You are responsible for maintaining account security
- One account per person
- You may not share your account credentials
3. License to Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Download and install the App on your personal device
- Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Access features as provided
Restrictions:
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Do not copy, modify, or create derivative works
- Do not remove copyright or proprietary notices
- Do not use the App for illegal purposes
- Do not attempt to bypass usage limits or security features
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
- Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws
- Respect intellectual property rights
- Not store illegal or harmful content
Prohibited Activities:
- Uploading malware or malicious code
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems
- Using automated tools to access the App
- Spamming or abusing features
- Violating others' privacy
- Circumventing usage limits (15 AI requests/day)
5. Service Features and Limits
Free Tier Includes:
- Up to 10 clipboard items stored
- 15 AI requests per day (translation & summarization)
- Secure cloud storage
- System-wide overlay access
- Cross-device sync (with same account)
Usage Limits:
- Oldest items automatically removed when limit reached
- Daily AI quota resets at midnight (UTC)
- Fair use policy applies to prevent abuse
6. Privacy and Data
Your privacy is important to us. By using the App, you acknowledge that:
- We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy
- You are responsible for the content you store
- We use third-party services for essential functionality
- You have control over your data (view, edit, delete)
7. Intellectual Property
Our Rights:
- All App content, design, code, and features are proprietary
- Clippy name, logo, and branding are trademarks
- Protected by copyright and intellectual property laws
Your Content:
- You retain ownership of your clipboard data
- You grant us license to store and process your data
- You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to stored content
8. Service Availability
We strive to provide reliable service, but:
- The App is provided "as is" without warranty
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- Maintenance may cause temporary downtime
- Third-party services may affect functionality
- We may modify or discontinue features with notice
9. Disclaimers
No Warranties:
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available"
- We make no warranties about accuracy or reliability
- AI features may not be 100% accurate
- We do not guarantee data preservation
Use at Your Own Risk:
- We are not responsible for lost or corrupted data
- Always backup important information
- Do not store sensitive information without proper precautions
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Total liability limited to amount paid (if any) in past 12 months
- Not liable for third-party service failures
- Not liable for user-generated content
- Not responsible for data loss due to device issues
11. Account Termination
By You:
- You may delete your account at any time in Profile settings
- All data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
By Us:
We may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or abusive behavior
- Legal or regulatory requirements
- Extended inactivity (180 days)
12. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically:
- Changes will be posted with updated date
- Material changes notified via email
- Continued use constitutes acceptance
- You should review Terms regularly
13. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by Pakistani law
- Disputes resolved in Mianwali/Islamabad courts
- If any provision is invalid, others remain in effect
14. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services:
- Authentication providers (Google, Email)
- Cloud storage services
- AI processing services
Third-party terms and privacy policies also apply. We are not responsible for their practices.
