How do I get started with Clippy?
Download Clippy from Google Play Store, sign up with your email or Google account, and start copying! Your clipboard items will be automatically saved and accessible across all your devices.
How many clipboard items can I store?
The free version allows you to store up to 10 clipboard items. When you reach the limit, the oldest item is automatically removed to make space for new ones. This ensures your most recent items are always available.
What are AI requests and how many do I get?
AI requests include translations and text summaries. You get 15 free AI requests per day, which resets at midnight UTC. Translation (including language detection) counts as 1 request, and summarization also counts as 1 request.
How does the system-wide overlay work?
Enable the "Quick Access Overlay" in Profile settings. Once enabled, a floating button will appear on your screen across all apps. You can drag it anywhere and tap it to access quick actions like calling, sharing, translating, and more. You can disable it anytime from settings.
Is my data secure?
Yes! Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security measures and only you can access your clipboard items. We never share your data with third parties. You can delete your account and all data at any time from Profile settings.
Which languages are supported for translation?
Clippy supports translation between multiple languages. If your text is in English, you can translate to Urdu, Arabic, or Russian. If your text is in any other language, it will be translated to English. Our AI automatically detects the source language.
How do I verify my email?
Go to Profile → Email Verified section. If you signed up with email/password, you'll see a "Send Verification Email" button. Click it, check your inbox, and follow the verification link. Google Sign-In users are automatically verified.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → About → Delete Account (Permanently). Confirm the deletion, and all your data including clipboard history, profile info, and settings will be permanently removed. This action cannot be undone.
What are Quick Actions?
Clippy automatically detects content types and suggests relevant actions. For phone numbers, you can call or save. For URLs, you can open or share. For emails, you can compose or share. For text, you can translate or summarize.
Can I use Clippy on multiple devices?
Yes! Sign in with the same account on multiple Android devices, and your clipboard history will sync automatically. All your items are stored securely in the cloud.
What permissions does Clippy need?
Clippy requires: (1) Internet access for cloud sync and AI features, (2) Display over other apps for system-wide overlay, (3) Foreground service for persistent overlay functionality. We only request necessary permissions and explain why each is needed.
I'm not receiving the verification email. What should I do?
Check your spam/junk folder first. If still not found, try resending from the Profile screen. Ensure you entered the correct email address. If problems persist, contact us at usmanghanii7729@gmail.com.
